Standing in the center of the universe
There is love and there is war
But no peace
Like the differences between man and woman
Or the moon that shines with the same light as the sun
Different yet the same
Like a flame that burns
Then flickers
Then dies
Never does it linger longer than it ought
Never does it light unless it is lit
Standing between the cities of the west
And the empires of the east
There is love and there is war
But no peace
One feeding from the other
Entwining, dividing
Multiplying in Multiple ways
But never separating
Standing between the odds and ends of everything
I must say
Always will there be war
Always will there be love
But never peace
And I wouldn't have it any other way
